Top 5 Travel Trailers Under $30K On Our Lots Right Now

Think you need to spend $40,000, $50,000, or more to get into a brand-new travel trailer? Think again. We went through our current inventory at Great American RV SuperStores and found five new 2026 travel trailer floorplans available for under $30,000.

And these aren't five campers that basically do the same thing. We've got everything from a lightweight 17-foot couples camper to a 27-foot travel trailer with considerably more living space. Whether your priorities are towability, price, room for the family, or simply getting as much camper as possible for your money, there's something here worth checking out.

For this list, we're looking specifically at new 2026 models currently priced under $30,000 at select Great American RV SuperStores locations. Inventory and pricing can change, so we've included a link with each RV that lets you see the current inventory for that exact floorplan.

1. 2026 Venture RV Sienna Lite

Length: 17' 6"
UVW: 2,750 lbs.
GVWR: 3,500 lbs.
Sleeps: 2
Available in: Calera, AL; Grand Bay, AL; Heflin, AL; Huntsville, AL

If your goal is to get into RV camping without buying a huge trailer or taking on a huge payment, the Venture RV Sienna Lite SA140VFD deserves a look.

At only 17 feet, 6 inches long and 2,750 pounds unloaded, it's the smallest and lightest travel trailer on our list. That's going to make it appealing to couples, solo travelers, and buyers who simply don't want to drag a 30-foot camper around every weekend.

The SA140VFD also keeps things simple with no slideout. While slides can give you more interior room, there's something to be said for a smaller trailer with fewer moving parts. Pull into the campground, get leveled, hook everything up, and you're pretty much ready to camp.

Inside, Venture fits a 54-by-80-inch bed, 24-by-36-inch shower, refrigerator and dining area into that compact footprint. For buyers who don't need bunks or sleeping space for a large family and would rather have a camper that's easier to maneuver and store, the Sienna Lite gives you the essentials without requiring a huge RV.

Best for: Couples, solo campers, weekend trips, and buyers looking for a lightweight entry into RV camping.

2. 2026 Grand Design Transcend ONE 151RB

Length: 19' 8"
UVW: 3,600 lbs.
GVWR: 4,420 lbs.
Hitch Weight: 490 lbs.
Sleeps: 4
Available in: Hattiesburg, MS; DeFuniak Springs, FL

The Grand Design Transcend ONE 151RB gives you another interesting option in the compact travel trailer category.

At just under 20 feet long, this is still a very manageable camper for buyers who don't want something huge behind the tow vehicle. It has an unloaded vehicle weight of 3,600 pounds with a GVWR of 4,420 pounds, keeping it on the lighter side of the travel trailer market.

One thing that makes the 151RB interesting is how much functionality Grand Design has packed into a relatively small footprint. It's rated to sleep up to four people, giving couples and smaller families an option without immediately jumping into a larger bunkhouse.

It's also an opportunity to get into a brand-new Grand Design while staying below our $30,000 limit. The Transcend ONE brings the Grand Design name into a smaller and more affordable category for buyers who may not need the size or price tag of a larger travel trailer.

If you're comparing compact travel trailers and want something that can accommodate a couple, small family, or occasional guests, this is definitely one we'd put on the walkthrough list.

Best for: Couples, small families, and buyers wanting a compact Grand Design at an entry-level price.

3. 2026 Heartland Prowler 2000MB

Length: 24' 7"
Dry Weight: 4,315 lbs.
GVWR: 6,000 lbs.
Hitch Weight: 575 lbs.
Sleeps: Up to 6
Available in: Calera, AL; Grand Bay, AL

Now we're starting to move into a different category.

The Heartland Prowler 2000MB stretches out to 24 feet, 7 inches and is rated to sleep up to six people. That makes this one much more interesting for families who need additional sleeping capacity but still want to keep the purchase price below $30,000.

At 4,315 pounds dry with a 6,000-pound GVWR, you're also moving into a different towing conversation than you are with the smaller campers on this list.

Remember, don't choose a tow vehicle based strictly on a trailer's dry weight. Loaded trailer weight, hitch weight, vehicle payload, passengers, cargo, and your tow vehicle's actual ratings all need to be considered.

For a family shopping on a budget, the Prowler 2000MB gives you considerably more camper and sleeping capacity than the smaller trailers on our list while still staying below our $30,000 cutoff.

Best for: Families who need additional sleeping capacity and want more camper without jumping into a much higher price range.

4. 2026 Jayco Jay Feather Air 18FBS

Length: 21' 4"
UVW: 3,860 lbs.
GVWR: 4,995 lbs.
Hitch Weight: 454 lbs.
Sleeps: Up to 3
Slideouts: 1
Available in: Tupelo, MS; Heflin, AL; Huntsville, AL

The Jay Feather Air 18FBS lands in an interesting spot between the tiny campers and the larger travel trailers on this list.

It's 21 feet, 4 inches long, weighs 3,860 pounds unloaded, and has a GVWR just under 5,000 pounds. More importantly for some buyers, it gives you something the smaller trailers on our list don't: a slideout.

That's a pretty big deal in a camper this size.

One of the compromises with smaller travel trailers is interior space. Keeping the overall length down makes an RV easier to maneuver, store, and fit into campsites, but you can definitely feel the difference once everybody is inside. The slideout on the 18FBS helps open up that living space without requiring you to step into a substantially longer travel trailer.

The 18FBS is rated to sleep up to three, so we'd look at this primarily as a couples camper with the ability to accommodate another person when needed rather than a true family bunkhouse.

For someone who wants a smaller travel trailer but doesn't want the interior to feel quite so small once they're set up at the campground, this Jay Feather Air hits a nice middle ground.

Best for: Couples who want a smaller travel trailer but don't want to give up the additional interior room provided by a slideout.

5. 2026 Venture RV SportTrek Stinger STS232VRL

Length: 27' 6"
UVW: 5,100 lbs.
GVWR: 6,500 lbs.
Dry Hitch Weight: 550 lbs.
Cargo Carrying Capacity: 1,400 lbs.
Available in: Grand Bay, AL; Calera, AL; Heflin, AL; Huntsville, AL

If your budget is closer to the top of our $30,000 limit and your priority is getting more camper for the money, the Venture RV SportTrek Stinger STS232VRL takes this list in another direction.

At 27 feet, 6 inches long, it's considerably larger than the compact trailers we started with. Instead of focusing primarily on keeping length and weight to a minimum, the STS232VRL gives buyers more living space for longer trips and weekends when you're actually spending some time inside the camper.

The 2026 STS232VRL has an unloaded vehicle weight of 5,100 pounds and a GVWR of 6,500 pounds, so proper tow vehicle matching becomes especially important here. With 1,400 pounds of cargo carrying capacity, there's also a substantial difference between what the trailer weighs empty and what it could weigh once loaded for a trip.

This is a good example of why shopping by budget doesn't necessarily mean shopping by RV size. Within the same under-$30K price range, you could be looking at a tiny lightweight couples camper on one end and a travel trailer over 27 feet long on the other.

If you have the proper tow vehicle and don't mind stepping up in overall size, the STS232VRL gives you the opportunity to get considerably more living space while still staying within that $30,000 budget.

Best for: Buyers looking to maximize camper size, living space, and features while keeping the purchase price under $30,000.

Which Travel Trailer Under $30K Is Right for You?

There isn't one winner on this list because these five floorplans are designed for very different campers.

If weight, size, and simplicity are at the top of your list, the Sienna Lite SA140VFD is hard to ignore at only 2,750 pounds unloaded.

If you want a compact camper with room for a small family, the Grand Design Transcend ONE 151RB gives you sleeping capacity for up to four while staying under 20 feet long.

If family camping and sleeping capacity are the priority, the Heartland Prowler 2000MB can sleep up to six while giving you a trailer that's still under 25 feet long.

For a couple wanting a smaller travel trailer with a slideout, the Jayco Jay Feather Air 18FBS hits a nice middle ground.

And if your goal is to get more living space while staying under $30,000, the SportTrek Stinger STS232VRL gives you a trailer over 27 feet long without crossing our price limit.

The better question isn't necessarily, "What's the best travel trailer under $30,000?"

It's what's the best travel trailer under $30,000 for the way you camp?

That's where looking at floorplans in person makes a huge difference. Stand in the kitchen. Sit where you'd actually relax at night. Step into the shower. Look at the storage. Think about where the kids, dogs, coolers, chairs, grills, and everything else you bring camping are actually going to go.

And before settling on any travel trailer, make sure your tow vehicle is properly matched to the RV. Don't rely on dry or unloaded weight alone. Loaded trailer weight, hitch weight, available payload, passengers, cargo, and your vehicle's actual towing ratings all matter.
